iPhone Worthy

I always laugh at what photos end up on my iPhone. Here is my most recent captures. They all have a story which is why I love digging through my phone pictures!

Reese is still in love with this dress. She wears it every laundry cycle. But this picture is also special because I had time to snuggle with her and just her one morning.
When Dewy misses his daddy he spends about 15 minutes each morning running around the house up and down stairs whining while holding this big toy in his mouth. As if he is on a mission and the angel dog toy is his sidekick.

I have completely let go of guiding the girls in their clothes selection. I will only decide if they are covered and appropriate for the weather. This day Reese put on just tights with this 'dress'. I told her she needed to have something that would cover her bottom, and these floral shorts apparently was exactly what she needed!

One morning Elli woke up while I was getting showered and dressed. Brady asked if she could go into the nursery with her. This is what I walked into. Sisters are the best thing in the world.
And lastly, I may have another girly girl on my hands. Yesterday, Elli only got about 30 minutes of a nap. She was cranky by dinner time so I was having a hard time getting the cooking done. Then all of a sudden she was quiet and happy for like 20 minutes straight. What turned her frown upside down? PURSES! Oh boy, at least I know what to expect out of girly girls since I have raised two already.

Peek-a-boo

This is no longer a toothless grin.

November 28 Elli's first tooth popped out. Within ten minutes of my discovering it, she bit me three times while nursing. OUCH!!! I have to break that habit fast!

Speaking of peek-a-boo... This is Reese on her best behavior at a fancy restaurant. And yes, I choose to take her picture instead of correcting the behavior.

Royalty Here in Pensacola

On the anniversary of the Royal Wedding, I flipped through the channels and came across a replaying of the ceremony. I had no clue (even though I should have) how much the girls would be into viewing the wedding. The interesting part was that for 45 minutes it was just people arriving and walking in, and they patiently waited for the guest of honor to arrive. The girls properly dressed for the joyous occasion... hint: the blankets are supposed to be a train on a gown.

All Dolled Up!

The school had a Gala for fundraising that I decided to attend 'stag' with some of the other moms. So Karl was taking care of the girls, and they decided they needed to get fancy too.

Let's start with the fancy mommies...

Hanging out with all these beautiful women, I was honestly shocked by the number of people that came up to me and commented on my shiny belly! It was a lovely evening of dining, and auctions. But most importantly it was a lovely evening of time with the girls. Here is one of the pieces of art, inspired by Andy Warhol, the school auctioned off.
The kids did a self portrait. Here is Brady's....
 And Reese's...
I forget the artist inspiration behind this one but the class also painted this one.

There was lots of other beautiful kid made art, pieces you would find in an art gallery. One piece made by the upper elementary kids went for about $1300!

So while I was off celebrating artwork at the Gala, Karl had a great evening with two of his lovely ladies. For those who are familiar with the Fancy Nancy series will really appreciate the night's events. First the girls got fancy through their own eyes, including (and not all pictured) fancy shoes, boas, hats, jewelry, Karl's grandma's clutch purses, legwarmers...And of course Daddy sported his fedora!
Well, in the Fancy Nancy book  the family gets fancy to go to "kings' crown" restaurant. So Karl treated the girls to the closest thing...Burger King. They loved it!
Then they continued onto ice cream!

Can anyone say "ice cream coma"?

Fancy Nancy

My girls LOVE LOVE LOVE being 'fancy'! Almost every morning after getting dressed they ask me if the outfit they chose is fancy enough. they tell me they wished I wore makeup, high heels jewelry and dresses everyday.

Karl recently received another 'pat on the back' at work and we wanted to celebrate by eating out as a family. Brady decided the whole family needed to get fancy for our date. The place we went to even had white tablecloths! I wore makeup, jewelry (that Karl got me from Bahrain), and high heels. I don't have a dress that I could pull off right now, but I did opt for my top with sparkles. Brady got decked out in her outfit bought for the Nutcracker and all sorts of costume jewelry. She also requested I flat iron her bangs for the occasion. Reese proclaimed her "lil sister" shirt she already had on IS fancy! But she did want to wear her special jewelry bought her in Bahrain with her birthstone with some Mardi Gras beads. Karl was barely able to pass the fancy test with a collared shirt.

 love this picture of Reese

I love playing along with the kids!
